He couldn’t help but smile at the pink haired woman, “It would be nice to see you during the day… I’ve said it before, but it is lonely in that apartment merely waiting for you to return from work and school.” He kissed her forehead again, breathing in that faint scent of hers he’d come to love. “It will also be lovely to do something besides wait all day, I still have not seen much of Tokyo for how long we have been together.”

“I’ve already got the withdrawal forms ready- I just need to turn them in.” She smiled, eyes closing as he kissed her forehead. “I wanted to know what you thought before I turned them in…that’s the only reason I haven’t already. And I promise, next chance we get I’ll take you on a tour of the city.” Though she doubted they’d be able to cover the whole city in a single day- Tokyo was far too large for that.

“We would… But would you be happy with that? Just working and spending time with me?” More money would be a nice thing, but wouldn’t she be throwing away something personal to her just to… “Though, if doing so does make you happy, who am I to argue?”

“Honestly, going to school hasn’t really done a whole lot for me,” she said with a slight sigh. “I just think it’s time I start focusing on more realistic things, like making sure we have enough money to get by. I can’t do that if I’m splitting my time between school and work. Plus….I wanna see you more often. I’m so sick of only getting to see you at night when I can barely keep my eyes open.”

He should’ve known that after all this time. Even if she felt safe with him, the fact that she had gone through so much with her ex, it was likely that she would always have this fear. “Then I will simply do all I am able to to ensure you do not feel that way, won’t I?” He gently kissed her lips, holding on to her a little tighter.

She chuckled a bit, smiling as she kissed him back and pressed her body to his. After a moment she pulled back, looking at him. “I’ve been thinking of quitting school,” she said, biting the inside of her cheek. “If I did that and took to just working, we’d be able to spend more time together…and we’d have more money, too.”

He’s unsure of what to make of the look on her face, “Then why do you appear… unsure? Perhaps it’s just me…” He pulled her into a close embrace as he often did, unsure of what else to do.

“It’s fine, really.” She assured the man by wrapping her arms around him, nuzzling into his chest as she normally did.

“Though I wouldn’t do something such as that… Hurting you would by far be one of the worst things I could possibly do to you.” Had she honestly expected him to strike her in his anger? He knew of her past relationship, but did she think he would do something so harmful to the one he loved? “I never want to hurt you if I’m capable of it… And I am sorry if my anger made you feel as such…”

Shaking her head slightly she looked up at him, blue meeting gold. “I know that you’re too good of a man to do that, to hurt me in any way, physically or emotionally. It’s just when you get so used to something….the thought of it happening never really leaves your head. You’re always prepared for it because you’ve been conditioned to expect it, no matter how the circumstances change.”

“Luka, I’d never cheat on you. I told you yesterday that Yoko is merely a good friend. She also has two others she cares for too much do something so… horrible with anyone, least of all myself.”

“I know that- like I’m going to believe what some grey face tells me.” Still frowning she crossed her arms under her chest, biting the inside of her cheek.

“They likely wouldn’t be alive for a great deal of time, in all honesty,” he was a Shadow after all. Unless the one who angered him was a Persona user or another Shadow, they’d like be dead within moments. “I am glad I didn’t do anything rash back when I was… angry with you.”

“You had every right to in all honesty…and I wouldn’t have blamed you for anything if you had.” She had taken plenty of hits in the past when she hadn’t deserved them, but this time around she certainly had. There had even been a part of her that was expecting it to come.

A deep frown etched its way into the woman’s features, her hands clenching into fists. “That’s not funny- why would you even say something like that? There’s no way he’d do that to me.”
